Ukrainian Railways appoints new general director of Kiev Electrical Carriage Repair Plant
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - The sole shareholder has appointed Alexander Vlasov new general director of the Kiev Electrical Carriage Repair Plant, part of Ukrainian Railways, Ukrainian media said, citing the plant statement in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
Vlasov, whose previous position was withheld in the statement, was appointed plant head for a period from November 1, 2024, to January 2, 2026.
In turn, Oleg Golovashchenko was terminated as the plant general director ahead of time. As reported, Ukrainian Railways appointed him head of the Passenger Company branch on November 1, having appointed the branch previous head, Alexander Pertsovsky, Ukrainian Railways Board chairman.
Founded in 1868, the plant provides overhauls of electric trains for Ukrainian railways, repairs carriage units and joints, as well as electric machines, electric motors and wheel sets, and manufactures spares.
According to the Clarity Project, the plant increased its revenue by 30.7% year-on-year to 1,285 billion hryvni in 2023, while its net profit grew 5.5 times 23.4 million hryvni.
In January-September 2024, the plant posted a loss of 1.5 million hryvni, versus a net profit of 22.5 million hryvni a year earlier, with revenue falling by 23.7% to 684.4 million hryvni.
