CIS leaders to hold traditional meeting in late Dec to sum up year results, make plans for future - Putin
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) leaders will meet at the end of December to sum up the year's results and make plans for the future, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Traditionally, we will gather at the end of December to sum up results of the year and to make plans for the future," Putin said, while receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors.
The CIS members "are the closest neighbors, best friends and natural strategic partners and allies of Russia," he said.
The CIS members will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 together in 2025, he said.
