Kazakhstan, Mongolia to jointly explore and produce mineral resources

ASTANA. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan and Mongolia have agreed to jointly carry out mineral resource exploration and development projects, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

"As you may know, our countries have significant mineral resources. We will work together on exploration and development of iron, phosphate, bauxite and rare mineral deposits," Tokayev said at a briefing during his official visit to Mongolia, according to a Tuesday press release published by the presidential press service.

"Businessmen from Kazakhstan are ready to explore the potential of Mongolia's mining industry," he said.
