Turkmenkhimiya, Russia's SIBUR discuss possibility of cooperation, no specific plans yet

ASHGABAT. Oct 24 (Interfax) - The Turkmen state concern Turkmenkhimiya recently held a meeting with Russia's SIBUR Holding, representative of the concern's external economic relations department Aimurad Shamukhamedov told Interfax on the sidelines of the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2024 conference.

"Negotiations were held with SIBUR Holding regarding polymer products, [and] we got acquainted with the organization. We will probably develop [cooperation] with them. There are no specific plans for now, but they're intended, because the doors to cooperation are open," he said.

Turkmenkhimiya has officially invited SIBUR to the CIET-2024 (Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan) international conference and exhibition, Shamukhamedov said. The conference will take place in Ashgabat on November 3-5.
