Russian Central Bank has not predetermined decision on key rate on Oct 25, will consider entire range of factors - Nabiullina

SOCHI. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia has not predetermined the decision on the key rate ahead of the meeting of the board of directors on October 25, and the regulator intends to consider the entire range of factors and published data, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said on Thursday at a press conference.

"We will reach a decision on the key rate on Friday [October 25]. We will naturally consider how the latest published data affect our forecast in order to reach a calibrated decision on the key rate. Current inflation, the dynamics of inflation expectations, the rate of growth in lending, and external factors of course all largely confirm the considerations we had in September, when we hiked the key rate. However, once again, the decision is not predetermined. We will consider the entire range of factors next week," Nabiullina said.
