Ukrainian exports on rise - PM

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Ukrainian exports rose 36% in January-September 2024 year-on-year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"It is income from Ukrainian exports that is one of the main sources of our financial sustainability. Ukrainian exports totaled around 100 million tonnes in January-September 2024. This is 36% more than last year. This means that we exported as much in nine months as we did in the whole of last year. It is $28.9 billion in monetary terms," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on social media on Tuesday following the government meeting.

This was made possible thanks to the operations of the Black Sea maritime corridor unilaterally declared by Kiev, as well as thanks to the state support for Ukrainian exporters and the diligent work of businesses in export-oriented sectors of the economy, he said.
