Oil price will fall if global economy slows, but only slightly - Gazprom Neft CEO
MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Oil prices have been in the range of $70-$90 for the past two years and the current price level is still within this range, so there is no reason to worry about the price of oil, the CEO of Russian oil company Gazprom Neft , Alexander Dyukov told reporters on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week.
"Oil prices have been in the range of $70-$90 for the past two years and their current level is not breaking out of this corridor. We don't see reasons for concerns about the price," he said.
"If the global economy shows signs that its growth is slowing, if the rate of growth of oil and oil product consumption slows, then, indeed, the market will respond and there will be some addition decrease in prices. But I don't think it will be significant," Dyukov said when asked if oil prices might keep dropping.
