Former deputy minister of internal affairs, justice Sergei Gerasimov joins Nornickel management board
MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Former deputy minister of Internal Affairs and first deputy minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, Sergei Gerasimov, has joined the management board of Norilsk Nickel , the company said.
Gerasimov worked at Russia's Trade Ministry in the late 1990s, and he has held various positions in the presidential administration since 2001. He was deputy head of the Presidential Directorate for ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens before being appointed deputy minister of Internal Affairs in 2011. Gerasimov was appointed deputy minister of Justice in 2011, and he became first deputy minister of Justice in 2014. He was relieved of this post in August 2017.
The Nornickel management board also includes Vice President for HR Policy Daria Kryachkova and Nikolai Utkin, who was recently appointed First Vice President and Head of the Government Relations Unit, and previously headed the Norilsk division for several years.
The Nornickel management board has increased from 11 members to 14.
