CEO of Ukraine's Naftogaz, Slovak officials discuss region's energy security
MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Naftogaz of Ukraine CEO Alexei Chernyshov discussed the energy security of countries of Central and Eastern Europe with Slovak officials in Bratislava on August 27, Ukrainian media said, citing the Naftogaz website.
Chernyshov met with Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister Denisa Sakova and acting parliament speaker Peter Ziga during the visit.
"The parties discussed cooperation aimed at strengthening joint energy security and Ukraine's role on these efforts, including measures to ensure stable energy supplies to Slovakia and Central and Eastern Europe as a whole," it said.
Chernyshov himself said on social media that the transport of energy resources to Europe and steps to advance this partnership for the benefit of common energy sustainability were discussed at his meetings with the top management of SPP, MOL Group, Slovnaft, Transpetrol and Eustream.
"A priority today is to adopt new solutions to ensure our countries' energy security. This includes new potential suppliers, as well as Ukrainian fuel exports in the future," Chernyshov was quoted by the Naftogaz press service as saying.
