Azerbaijani, Iranian FMs discuss bilateral relations, regional processes
BAKU. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with his new Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi by phone on Sunday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's press service said.
"The phone call addressed the current agenda of Azerbaijani-Iranian bilateral cooperation and regional affairs," the press service said.
Bayramov invited Araghchi to visit Azerbaijan.
The ministers reaffirmed the interest in further strengthening of bilateral cooperation through a series of joint projects in the economy, trade, transport, communications and other areas.
"During the phone call, views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest, and the importance of further joint efforts towards continuing bilateral cooperation was underlined," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
