Ukrenergo plans to do without power supply restrictions on Friday
MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Regional power operators in Ukraine are not planning to apply hour-by-hour outage schedules on Friday, August 9, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the national power grid operator Ukrenergo's statement on its social account.
As reported, a shortage in the Ukrainian national power grid prompted operators to limit power supply to industrial and business consumers from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday. No power consumption restrictions have been set for households since July 30.
Media reported with reference to the Energy Ministry that Ukraine received emergency power supply assistance from Poland on Thursday.
As of Friday morning, power supply was cut fully or partially for various reasons, including technical faults, to 485 populated areas across Ukraine.
