Ukrainian ports raise cargo transshipment 1.7-fold in Jan-July to 60 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian ports handled 59.9 million tonnes of goods in January-July 2024, which is 1.7-fold more year-on-year when the figure stood at 34.4 million tonnes, Ukrainian media reported, citing the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine.

In July, seven million tonnes were transshipped, which is the same amount as in June this year. The figure exceeds 2.2-fold the volume handled by the ports in July 2023. Of this volume, 4.2 million tonnes were agricultural products exported to 46 countries.

The transshipment in Ukrainian ports reached 62 million tonnes in 2023, the Administration of Ukrainian Seaports said.
