Ukraine to raise 50 mln euros from EU to restore, develop agrarian logistics
MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - A priority area of agrarian assistance is restoring and developing logistics, to which end the Ukrainian government will raise 50 million euros from the European Union, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal was quoted by Ukrainian media as saying.
Over the 11 months since the launch of the sea corridor announced by Kiev unilaterally, cargo turnover at the ports of Greater Odessa totaled 60 million tonnes, he said. "Almost 41 million tonnes are food exports," Shmygal said.
The government resolved on Friday to raise 50 million euros in EU assistance to repair and develop Ukraine's port infrastructure, he said.
