Ukraine could ratify 200 mln euros reconstruction grant agreement with France
MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government is proposing that Verkhovna Rada should ratify a 200 million euro reconstruction grant agreement with France, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"We are submitting the agreement with France to the parliament to enable Ukraine to receive the 200 million euro grant to rebuild our infrastructure and economy," Shmygal was quoted by Ukrainian media as saying after a government meeting on Friday.
The two countries signed the agreement on the reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine's critical infrastructure and priority economic sectors in Paris, France, on June 7, 2024.
Its ratification would create legal grounds for receiving the 200 million euro grant aimed at reconstruction and restoration of critical infrastructures in health care, energy, agriculture, water supply and disposal, waste recycling, demining, homebuilding and digital technologies.
