No scheduled outages planned in Ukraine on first day of August - Ukrenergo
MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Regional power operators in Ukraine are not planning to apply hour-by-hour outage schedules on Thursday, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the national power grid operator Ukrenergo's social media post.
"No power cuts are anticipated on August 1," Ukrenergo said.
As reported, July 30 was the first day in the past month when no scheduled outages were applied in Ukraine, and no such power cuts were planned for July 31, either.
"Consumption has stabilized at the same level. The daily peak on July 31 was the same as on July 30. As of 9:30 a.m. today, on August 1, consumption was also on a par with that recorded yesterday in the morning," media quoted Ukrenergo as saying on Thursday.
Specialists are continuing planned and emergency repairs to restore the power grid, it said.
As many as 496 communities across Ukraine were completely or partially cut off from power supply for various reasons on August 1, it said.
