MINSK. July 29 (Interfax) - Belarusian automobile brand Belgee plans to open 120 dealerships in Russia by the end of 2024, industry agency Avtostat reported.
Belgee's official dealerships now have a presence in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tver, Kazan, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Samara, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk and many other cities, the agency said.
"More than 100 dealer contracts have already been signed, work is underway on setting up and preparing show rooms and there are plans to open at least 120 centers in Russia's main regions by the end of 2024," Avtostat said.
Belgee automobiles, made by the BelGee plant in Belarus, are a localized version of the models of China's Geely. The brand is now represented in Russia by the X50 crossover based on the Chinese model Geely Coolray, and the X70 mid-size crossover, adapted for Russian operating conditions from the Geely Atlas Pro.
Belgee officially entered the Russian market at the beginning of June. Its exclusive distributor in Russia as of July 1 is Slava Motors Rus.
