Nova Post opens first office in France
MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Nova Group has entered the French market by opening its first office in Nice, Ukrainian media said, citing the group press service and noting that it was the 100th office opened outside Ukraine, in Europe.
"Openings in Paris and Lyon are planned by the end of this year, to be followed by other big cities - Lille, Toulouse and Bordeaux," Nova Group co-owner Vladimir Popereshnyuk said.
France is the 14th European country entered by the company, he said.
According to the press release, the Nova Post office in Nice accepts parcels of up to 100 kilograms. The delivery costs 900 hryvni for documents, 950 hryvni for parcels smaller than two kilograms, 1,500 hryvni for parcels smaller than ten kilometers, and 2,500 hryvni for parcels smaller than 30 kilograms. Parcels larger than 30 kilograms cost 100 hryvni for every extra kilogram.
Clients can also order courier deliveries of up to 1,000 kilograms to any location in France. Parcels of up to 30 kilograms cost 100 hryvni extra, and 250 hryvni have to be paid for every additional 100 kilograms if the delivery is larger than 30 kilograms
The company's partner in address service is the local company Chronopost. A parcel can be sent from Ukraine to any of 17,000 Chronopost pick-up points throughout France.
Thanks to partners, Nova Post has over 35,000 service posts in Europe, the press release said.
As reported, Nova Post has expanded its network in Ukraine from 26,600 to 30,100 posts since the beginning of this year. The network currently comprises up to 12,100 offices and 18,000 parcel terminals.
