Russian subsidiary of Mondelez appoints new General Director
MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Mondelez Rus LLC, the Russian subsidiary of Mondelez International , one of the world's leading confectionery manufacturers, has replaced its general director.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the company is headed by Alexey Blinov as of June 2024. He replaced Alexander Rodionov, CEO since September 2017.
Blinov has been with Mondelez Rus since 2005. Before that, he held senior positions at Nestle and OJSC Bolshevik.
As reported by U.S.-based Mondelez International Inc., in March 2022, the company decided to curtail capital investments and advertising expenses in Russia amid geopolitical events. The Russian division was made an autonomous organization.
The Russian LLC did not disclose results for 2023. Revenue reached 91.983 billion rubles in 2022 against 66.827 billion rubles in 2021 (an increase of 37.6%), while net profit quadrupled to 27.1 billion rubles from 6.7 billion rubles.
Mondelez International operates in more than 150 countries, and has been present in Russia for over 20 years. In Russia, it owns three factories in the Vladimir and Novgorod regions. It owns brands such as Oreo, Alpen Gold, Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, Barny, and Halls among others.
Mondelez Deutschland GmbH (Germany) owns Mondelez Rus.
