Rosneft produced 47.1 mln tonnes oil, 23.7 bcm gas, refinery throughputs 19.9 mln tonnes in Q1

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Rosneft's hydrocarbon in Q1 2024 totaled 66.6 million tonnes of oil equivalent or 5.435 million boepd, including 47.1 million tonnes or 3.848 million boepd liquids, the company said.

A year earlier, these figures were 5.6 million and 4 million boepd, respectively.

Gas production was recorded at 23.7 billion cubic meters or 1.587 million boepd in Q1 2024.

Production drilling amounted to 2.8 million meters, while 697 new wells were put into operation, 72% of them horizontal wells.

As part of the flagship Vostok Oil project, 700 linear km of 2D seismics and 400 sq. km of 3D seismics were completed in Q1 2024. Drilling of three wells was completed, while testing of two wells and preparation for testing of three more wells is underway. Pilot development of the Payakha, the Ichemminskoye and the Baikalovskoye fields is in progress: production drilling amounted to about 16,000 meters with three production wells completed in Q1 2024.

Work is underway on the Vankor-Paiyakha-Sever Bay trunk oil pipeline. As of the end of Q1 2024, more than 61,000 piles were installed and more than 250 km of pipes were welded. The underwater crossing of the pipeline is under construction - a section in the channel part of the Yenisei River has been installed and tested.

The company processed 19.9 million tonnes of crude in Russia in Q1 2024. A certain decrease in refining volumes was attributable to the repairs at refineries due to force majeure circumstances. The oil conversion ratio increased to 77.0%, while the light oil product yields reached 59.1%.

More than 600 tonnes of catalysts for hydrotreatment of diesel fuel and gasoline fractions, as well as protective layer catalysts were manufactured. Rosneft also produced 70 tonnes of gasoline reforming catalysts and about 90 tonnes of catalysts and adsorbents for hydrogen production units. More than 350 tonnes of catalysts for hydrotreatment of diesel fuel were regenerated.

The company sold 10.6 million tonnes of petroleum products on the domestic market, including 3.1 million tonnes of gasoline and 4.3 million tonnes of diesel fuel. Rosneft sold 2.2 million tonnes of gasoline and diesel fuel on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) in Q1 2024, which is twice as high as the required volume. The company's share in the total volume of exchange sales of gasoline and diesel fuel was 35%.
