Armenian govt suspends airing of Russia's Channel One 'due to debt'

YEREVAN. May 29 (Interfax) - The airing of Russia's Channel One in Armenia has been suspended because of a debt, Armenian High-Tech Industry Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said.

"Channel One. Global Network has failed to fulfill obligations under the current contract between Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Armenia and Channel One. Global Network by accumulating a 2.5-month debt," Hayrapetyan told the Armenian state-run news agency Armenpress.

"The airing of Russia's Channel One in the public multiplex has been suspended until the full repayment of the debt," he said.
