Kazakh, UAE leaders discuss strengthening cooperation in telephone call
ASTANA. May 20 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have had a telephone conversation at the UAE's initiative, the Kazakh presidential press service said.
"The parties discussed prospects of strengthening bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to expanding ties in trade, economic and investment spheres. The two leaders hailed the current level of Kazakh-UEA partnership and noted the importance of effective implementation of all earlier reached agreements," the press service said in a statement on Saturday.
"The presidents reaffirmed the intention to expand political dialogue, foster trade and implement joint projects in various economic sectors," the statement said.
Sheikh Al Nahyan congratulated Tokayev on his birthday.
