Interfax receives award for best federal mass media outlet covering economic issues

Interfax Information Services Groups Financial and Business Information Services has been named the winner of The Economic Revival of Russia competition in the best federal mass media outlet category.

The competition has been sponsored by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Russian Journalists Union since 1993.

An award presentation ceremony was held on April 23 as part of the National Forum of Business Mass Media.

The program Economy on Vesti television and the newspaper Transport Rossii were among the winners, alongside Interfax.

The Grand Prix awards went to the Tyumen magazine Selsky Okrug Segodnya (Rural Life Today) and the Kadui television and radio company in Vologda Region. The magazine Delovoye Podmoskovye (Businesses in Moscow Region), the newspaper Kontinent Sibir (Novosibirsk), and the Belgorod state television and radio company were named best regional mass media, and the magazine V Mire Deneg (The Money World) published in Tyumen and the newspaper Putevoditel Mezhdunarodnogo Biznesa (A Guide to International Business) in Moscow were found best specialized mass media.

Journalists from Saratov, Omsk, Cheboksary and Kursk were named winners in individual categories.
