Ukraine to train African diplomats

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - A comprehensive online training course for diplomats from African countries is starting at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, the course will continue "the renaissance of relations" between Ukraine and African countries, Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba said.

"During my tour, our African partners showed a great interest in studying the Ukrainian diplomatic experience. The training course developed by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will continue the renaissance of relations between Ukraine and African countries and will also be our practical contribution to strengthening the resilience of countries of the African continent," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Kuleba as saying in a statement released by the press service for the Foreign Ministry.

Over 200 diplomats from Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somali, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, and Senegal will have an opportunity to learn from the experience of Ukrainian practicing diplomats, international relations scholars and experts of analytical centers as part of the course.

According to Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is planning to conduct a series of similar training courses for a number of other African countries in 2023 in order to intensify relations with Africa.
