Polymetal repurchases another 1.76% of shares in exchange offer

ALMATY. May 6 (Interfax) - Polymetal has repurchased another 1.76% of shares as part of an exchange offer announced in November and approved by shareholders in December, the gold and silver miner said.

In total, 13,429,659 shares or 2.84% of the outstanding share capital have been repurchased since the beginning of the exchange offer.

Following the repurchase of the second eligible shares and the issuance of the corresponding exchange shares, the total number of voting rights in the company remains unchanged and is 473,690,320 ordinary shares at par value of $0.03, each carrying one vote.

The company said the share exchange was continuing as planned and called on all eligible shareholders to tender eligible shares before September 30, 2024.

Polymetal's principal shareholder is a consortium of Omani investors led by the government-owned fund Mercury Investments International (23.9%). Approximately 75% of shares are publicly traded on the Astana and Moscow stock exchanges, with a 4% stake owned by BlackRock .
