Zelensky has phone call with U.S. House Minority Leader Jeffries

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has spoken on the phone with United States House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of the Democratic Party, appreciating bipartisan support for Ukraine in the U.S. Congress.

"I spoke with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and thanked him for his role in getting the Ukraine aid bill passed in Congress," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying on his social account last Sunday.

Zelensky said he appreciated "the bipartisan support for Ukraine in Congress, as well as President Biden's leadership. I invited Congressman Jeffries to visit Ukraine."
