Ukrainian Deputy PM Kyrylenko calls Zelensky's Donbas strategy 'helpless'
KYIV. June 6 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Vyacheslav Kyrylenko has criticized President Volodymyr Zelensky's policy toward settling the situation in Donbas.
"Zelensky's Donbas strategy is clear to me. Everything is to be done unilaterally: fire not to be returned, the blockade to be lifted, and the financing, on the contrary, to be started. This is why he is gathering tycoons for an announced meeting," Kyrylenko said on Twitter on Thursday.
He described these steps as "disgraceful and helpless" and "the start of groveling to Moscow."
The Trilateral Contact Group for Donbas met in Minsk on June 5. Leonid Kuchma, Kyiv's delegate to the group, said following the meeting that the group discussed security problems, and the participants agreed not only on a moment when a ceasefire is to be declared in Donbas but also on a mechanism of its enforcement.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) special envoy to the group, Martin Sajdik, told journalists about Kuchma's proposal that the economic blockade should be lifted from the occupied Donbas territories.
