Realistic dialogue offer is only way to influence Pyongyang - Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov (Part 2)
XIAMEN. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Realistic terms of dialogue are the only way to influence North Korea, and a lot will depend on the United States in this respect, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
"I believe one can influence North Korea with realistic proposals of dialogue, and a lot will depend on our U.S. colleagues in this respect," Ryabkov told reporters on Monday.
"Unfortunately, the United States prefers speaking the language of sanctions or sometimes even the language of threats, rather than search for solutions using diplomatic techniques and tools," Ryabkov said.
