Russian, Turkmen foreign ministers discuss preparations for bilateral top-, high-level meetings
MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Turkmen counterpart Rasit Meredow spoke by telephone to discuss preparations for contacts on the top and high levels, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"A telephone conversation took place on August 31 at the initiative of the Russian side between Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meredow," the ministry said on its website on Friday.
"The parties examined certain issues of developing Russian-Turkmen relations and discussed preparations for top and high level bilateral meetings," the ministry said.
