Russia, UAE in talks over cooperation on supersonic business jet - UAC
DUBAI. Nov 18 (Interfax) - A United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) delegation at the Dubai Airshow and the Emirati company Mubadala discussed cooperation on a supersonic civil aircraft, the corporation's press service said on Monday.
"At the current air show in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) the UAC delegation led by General Director Yury Slyusar is holding intensive talks <...> The meeting with the top management of Mubadala (UAE) focused on the prospects of cooperation on supersonic civilian technologies," the UAC said.
Also, "talks continued with Egyptian partners on advancing the Be-200 amphibious aircraft and validation of the aircraft's certificate in Egypt."
The delegation also met with General Electric and Rolls-Royce to discuss potential delivery of a jet engine for the wide-fuselage aircraft CR929, the UAC said.
"Discussions with the top management of Alsalam (Saudi Arabia) focused on potential industrial cooperation in the context of civilian aircraft deliveries to the Middle Eastern countries," the statement reads.
A meeting with the UAC's main Indian partner, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Corporation, focused on potential industrial cooperation under the Ilyushin Il-114 program, the press service said.
Dubai Airshow is one of the biggest international aerospace shows. This year's is held for the 16th time.
