Rogozin to supervise key int'l space projects - Roscosmos

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Sanctions will not prevent Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin from acting as the special presidential representative for international space cooperation, the corporation press service told Interfax.

"The sanctions will not be an impediment. A substantial part of talks is held either in Russia or in the territory of countries to which these sanctions do not apply," the press service said.

By combining the posts of the Roscosmos head and the special presidential representative, Rogozin will oversee all major international space projects, it said.

"This applies to all international projects, including the International Space Station, the ExoMars project, and the Russian-Kazakh complex Baiterek," the press service said.

As reported earlier, Rogozin was appointed special presidential representative for international space cooperation. The presidential order was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
