Russian, Iranian deputy FMs discuss Syria, Middle East
MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - The Russian president's special representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, have discussed Russian-Iranian cooperation aimed at resolving the crisis in Syria.
"The conversation involved a deepened exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis on Russian-Iranian cooperation on the settlement of the Syrian crisis in light of the results of the seventh international meeting on Syria in Astana on October 30-31 of this year," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.

UK Ambassador to Russia Laurie Bristow has given an interview to Interfax in which he speaks about the level of cooperation with Russia as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup, his expectation as to the number of British fans who will come to Russia and other aspects of preparing for the tournament.
