Films from 56 countries to compete in Moscow International Film Festival - event president

MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - Over 240 films from 56 countries will compete in the 46th Moscow International Film Festival, Festival President Nikita Mikhalkov said.

"This year's program features 240 films from 56 countries. As you understand, such a number of films and countries is great for the festival in today's situation," Mikhalkov said at a press briefing on Friday.

The Moscow festival "is going through turbulence due to Covid and everything that has happened in the world," he said.

"It's very good that it continues to draw interest and attention," Mikhalkov said.

The Moscow International Film Festival will take place on April 19-26.
